Cheats And Codes For Nba Live 2005 For Xbox
During his final year of boxing in 1965, Robinson entered the ring on 16 occasions and suffered five defeats that included his last professional bout against Joey Archer. This was a far cry from December 20, 1946, when he boxed for his first world title with a 73-1-1 record.
Later Career And Decline
With so many disadvantaged men in the sport of boxing, it is hardly a surprise that many endings are unhappy. Robinson, who faced a tough childhood, made quick use of the $4 million he earned in fights and related businesses. Besides his family issues, Robinson continued boxing to support an out-of-ring life filled with debonair clothes, a large entourage, and continuous partying. He would eventually find himself as an undercard boxer in his early 40s, fighting against marginal opponents for as little as $1,100.
This downward slide was in plain view. After winning his final bout against nemesis Jake LaMotta, Robinson lost and regained the World Middleweight title from British contender Randy Turpin in 1951. He moved to light heavyweight and suffered the only knockout loss of his career, a TKO to Joey Maxim after quitting on his stool in extreme heat. Now 31 years old, he retired in 1952, made an unsuccessful run as a nightclub entertainer, and returned to boxing in 1955. Robinson won the middleweight title on three more occasions before spending his last four years as a journeyman. On the championship trail, he defeated Carl ‘Bobo’ Olson, Gene Fullmer, and Carmen Basilio, all future Hall of Famers.
