Fable III is the follow-up to 2008's critically-acclaimed Xbox 360 action-RPG Fable II.

While many believe that previous games in the series have often been over-hyped, leading to disappointments, one thing is for sure: Fable games have always been innovative, and never more so than in Fable III. Here's what we know...

Fable III - The Revolution has started

With the voice cast featuring celebritiy talent such as John Cleese, Simon Pegg, Stephen Fry and Nicholas Hoult, you can be sure the acting will be of the highest calibre. The big focus here is on immersion and story; a lot of time and effort appears to have been invested in the creation of an 'industrial-era' Albion.

The game takes place some 50-60 years after its predecessor, with the player assuming the role of the son or daughter of Fable II's hero - who has served the fictional game world of Albion as king or queen until recently. Born into royalty, your brother, Logan, is now holding the royal reigns to Albion, and is a cruel tyrant hell-bent on realizing his vision of an industrial Albion.

The natural beauty of the kingdom is slowly being destroyed by Logan's desire for industry, and you and other members of Logan's posse witness his brutality first-hand. - It is then that you decide to take a stand.

Throughout the first portion of the game, effort will be spent questing and acquiring followers, forming allegiances with leaders of regions and other influential characters as you build your revolutionary army to fight against Logan.

Upon assuming power, the player takes the role of king or queen, and is given the responsibility of dealing with the problems and consequences this brings. Will you fulfill the promises and boasts you made on your ascent to power? It's your call.
